Born in the dusty informal township of Amaoti in KZN, singer Nana Mthethwa is the first artist in the township preparing to release a contemporary gospel debut entitled “Peninnah”. Nana is to be known by the stage name “NAMAOTI” - derived from the artist’s name Nana combined with the township Amaoti where she was raised. The name is also representative of the surrounding townships like Inanda, KwaMashu and Ntuzuma that have influenced her upbringing.
Thulani Ga Ndlela was born 8 June 1976. He studied music for four years at the then Technikon of Natal now DUT and his first instrument was voice. He is currently employed by South African Police Services as a police officer. Thulani Ga Ndlela is married to Lindiwe Ndlela they are blessed with two daughters Siphesihle (10) and Amahle (3).
